 | New Year's Concert of Macedonian Philharmonic with Ana Durlovski | | culture.in |  28 Dec 2007 | |  | |  Traditional New Year’s concert of the Macedonian Philharmonic, including soprano Ana Durlovski, under the baton of Borjan Canev, will be held in the Macedonian Opera and Ballet on Saturday evening at 20,00h.
The concert’s first part will include pieces by Jacques Offenbach (overture of opera “Orpheus in the Underworld”), Waltz, March and Polka from Jazz Suite N.2 by Shostakovich, “Plink, Plank, Plunk!” by Leroy Anderson, gallop from ballet “Masquerade” by Aram Khachaturian, while Durlovski will sing arias from opera “The Merry Widow” by Franz Lehar, as well as an aria from operetta “The Csardas Princess” by Hungarian composer Imre Kalman.
The second part will be comprised of pieces by Johan Strauss Jr. and his polkas and waltzes, while Durlovski will perform “Giuditta” by Lehar. |  |
