Bertolt Brecht's play "Drums in the Night", produced by Prilep National Theatre, directed by Martin Kocovski, won the best play award at this year's 44th "Vojdan Cernodrinski" theatre festival, which ends Thursday in Prilep. Kocovski received the award for best director, while Marija Spirovska was named best actress in a supporting role. A jury, made up of writers and actors, decided to give the award for best male performance to Eljesa Kaso for the role of Sijah Kalem in the namesake play, produced by the Turkish Theatre. Actress Biljana Belicanec was presented with award for best female performance in play "Kinegonda of Carlaland", whereas actor Branko Gjorcev for best male supporting role in "Sacred Heart". Venko Andonovski was named best playwright fof performance "Kinegonda of Carlaland", while Enton Kaca was recognised for his theatrical adaptation of play "Albanian Nights", staged in the Albanian Theatre. |
