Gold rivers

Konjska Reka – located near Gevgelija, gold area found in the springs of the river's creek, on an inaccessible site below Mt. Kozuf, with a 90-percent chance of finding gold sand.  Accommodation in tents, nearest populated area at a 25km distance.

Kratovica – near the town of Kratovo, in the river's mountain range, gold sand.  Old gold mines dating from ancient times can be found in the area.  Accommodation in tents or in town. 90-percent chance of finding gold sand.

Markova Reka – 30km southeast of Skopje near Marko Monastery.  An inaccessible site in the river's canyon hosts natural pools where gold sand is found. 70-percent chance of finding gold sand.

Necessary equipment: standard gold sieving equipment, various sizes of sieves, shovels, buckets, a tent, food supplies, repellants against insects and snakes.
