Vardar Hill archeological site

If you are interested in archeology, visit the Vardar Hill archeological site, which is just 3 kilometers away from the Greek border, on the hill over the river Vardar. This settlement dates from the time prior to and after the reign of Alexander the Great of Macedonia, flourishing between the 13th and the 2nd centuries B.C. What is noteworthy is a group of 12 lights and numerous pyramid-shape weights in a house found at the site, which points to the existence of textile workshops at this archeological site. The site also contains one of the oldest settlements on Macedonian soil, dating as far back as the Bronze Age, which has not been excavated yet.

Vlado’s Inn

Vlado’s Inn was built in the beginning of 199 and in 1980 it was converted into a public museum, exhibiting a number of rarities dating from the period between the 8th and the 4th centuries.
