 | Honorary Racin Recognition Presented to Dorovsky | | culture.in |  17 Sep 2008 | |  | |  The honorary Racin Recognition was presented Tuesday to renowned expect in Macedonian language, professor Ivan Dorovsky from the Czech Republic, for his outstanding contribution and affirmation of Macedonian literature and culture in his country.
Dorovsky heads the department on Balkan Languages at the Brno University, and is external member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU).
“I am exceptionally excited, because Racin is very close to me. I translated his work ‘White Dawns’ in Czech this year”, said Dorovsky.
He received his PhD for a study on Rajko Zinzifov in the Ukrainian and Russian literatures. Dorovsky says that the Macedonian language is an equal member in the family of Slavic languages, literature and culture. |  |
